Synopsis:

Dental implants have become one of the most prevalent solutions in modern dentistry. Advances in technology now enable more precise placement and significantly improve the efficiency of osseointegration, which has significantly improved access to care. In this discussion, we will explore the anatomical challenges associated with implant placement and strategies for overcoming these obstacles. Despite best planning and execution, implant failures do occur. We will discuss the critical decision-making processes and treatment options available when implant failures occur, using real-world examples.
