Speaker: Dr. James Lin

Objective: Recent understanding in the management of endodontic diseases combining with advances in materials, armamentarium and techniques, have led to a more efficient and predictable root canal treatment outcome. Using a case based approach, Dr. Lin will highlight the latest innovations in endodontics and demonstrate how they can be used in patient management. The Clinician: Dr. James Lin, DDS, MSc, Dip Endod, FRCD(C) obtained his dental degree with top honours from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He worked as a general dentist for 10 years before returning to school to complete his graduate training in Endodontics and MSc degree in Craniofacial Science at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of British Columbia in 2012. For the past 10 years, Dr. Lin has been involved in endodontic teaching and research at UBC and has been the recipient of numerous academic and teaching awards. Currently, Dr. Lin is the Director of Undergraduate Endodontics at UBC and maintains his private practice specializing in endodontics in Vancouver and New Westminster.
